Lexy – (with K9 Crusaders)

This super fabulous, fun-loving, affectionate and energetic girl is still looking for a home.
She is a collie/Dalmatian mix who plays ball like a collie, and has the beautiful, extended running action of the Dalmatian, as well as the determination and strength of mind.
Lexy is a hunter who closes in like a heat seeking missile and pounces with lightning speed. New owners must be alert and aware as her prey drive can get her into hot water!
She can be nervous of the unfamiliar, both people and places, but once settled, her true character comes to the fore, and she really is a delight. This intuitive, intelligent girl has so much to give you, if you give her the time to understand that you are worthy of her trust.
Lexy will need to be the only pet as she is reactive to other dogs.
She would love a secure lawned garden for those endless games-she loves toys, and will need the biggest toybox!  Someone should be home most of the day as she doesn’t like to be left for long periods.
Could possibly live with dog savvy, sensible children of 15 years upwards.
Lexy is not suitable for anyone frail or with balance issues as she will pull or knock you over.
New owners will have to be strong, active and energetic, and very much ‘on the ball’ to keep up with, and be one step ahead of the huge character that is super intelligent Lexy!

Ted

Written by Julie Hopkin on . Posted in

Meet Ted he is a 15-month-old black and white castrated male. We have been advised ted is fantastic around children although he has never lived with them. Ted does live with another dog at the moment but unfortunately, he was recently attacked by another dog and now shows some signs of fear aggression towards other dogs However he does have a fantastic temperament with people and is very well socialized. Ted would benefit from being the only dog with a very active family with perhaps older children and to have had experience with a large breed of dog or of had a previous dalmatian.
Ted is awaiting a full assessment

Harley (Photos to follow)

Written by Julie Hopkin on . Posted in

Harley is a four year old black and white entire male. he is quite small for the breed  but extremely strong. On assessment Harley appeared to be hyperactive but very intelligent. He is walked on a harness/halti but still pulls and again is very very strong. He would do well in a home where boundaries can be firmly set and kept to. With patience and training he would make a lovely pet Harley can have some separation issues and can be destructive when left.
He would benefit from being the only dog as he is wary of other dogs after being attacked. He will need a very active family with older children as he is a very boisterous dog that will need plenty of exercise. We would be looking for a home with either previous dalmatian experience or a large breed of dog.
