The story of Bentley by Ruby,
When I had my old dog Lou Lou we had her for nearly fifteen years after she was dumped at my mum’s vets, but she was getting very old and poorly so she had to be put down which made us very sad. We missed her a lot.
So, after a few months we were looking for a new dog and I’ve always wanted a Dalmatian so we contacted British Dalmatian Welfare, after a couple of months of waiting, last august Valerie one of the co-ordiantors called my mummy and asked if we wanted an eleven-week-old puppy and me and my sister said YES YES!!
So the next morning we went to go and see him at a kennels in Stokenchurch and it was a two hour journey and when we got there we went to see him, they brought him out and me and my sister Lily fell in love with him. They told us his owners had split up and decided to give him away so we said can we take him today? Mummy and Daddy filled out all the paper work, he was very skinny but they said we could take him and on the way home he slept in my lap the whole way. He came home and met our cat Freddie who was bigger than Bentley when we first got him home.
He has grown up to be a handsome lovely boy and we called him Bentley, we love him so much and we have had him for ten months. He makes us happy every day and he loves his walk on the common after I come home from school and he has lots of doggy friends who he plays with lots.
Thank you British Dalmatian welfare, Valerie and the team for our boy Bentley.
