Our new treasurer Angela Clarkin, applied to an organisations called ' Support Adoption for Pets' which is the Pets at Home charity and they granted us £2000. The picture is of Angela picking up the cheque with her son Leo, daughter Aisling, their very spotty rescue dog Buddy and another Welfare dog Inca with her adopters Jeannie and Robert. Anne
Our FUN DAY this year. Well if you stayed home to watch the England match you missed a great day!. The forecast was for it to be hot and we worried that with that and the match we would have fewer people. Perhaps we did but nevertheless we had a great time. There was a cooling breeze so it was quite pleasant and we had plenty of water and parasols and gazebos for shade. We did cancel the two end of day races because of the heat in case it was too much for the dogs but apart from that it all went to plan. Maggi De Rosario had generously brought wine from France and was handing it round so it was a real party atmosphere. There were so many generous people helping with their time, money or help that I can't list them here but only thank you all. I am still on a high at the good time I had and all the people and dogs I have now met and can put faces to voices on the phone . I banked almost £900 today so it was also a financial success.
